Lead Research Person on Applied Technologies for Specialty Crops or Policy Maker.
9:00 a.m.University Faculty from Several Universities (Florida, Auburn, North Carolina, Michigan, California, Washington, and Several other States)
Sessions will be highlighting the latest studies in precision and digital agriculture, AI applications, and robotics for specialty crops.
11:30 a.m.Research presenters, Commodity Commissions, Growers and Industry talk about how research can pave the way for real-world technology applications.
12:00 p.m.Lunch, Industry Booths, and Networking.
1:30 p.m.Live Demos: On-site demos of field technologies
Each technology will be presented by the company within a determined time range. Groups will follow a line through all the stops. Each technology will have a planted field to showcase its capabilities (i.e., weeding, spraying, transplanting, etc).
4:30 p.m.Networking Reception and Student Poster Session
Networking reception will be held at the main ballroom with drinks and snacks to give another opportunity for people to visit industry booths and network. Graduate students will also present their research on specialty crops and technologies. This will also provide time for dialogue between students and industry.
